Harrisburg Contra Dance

Note: Our dances have returned to our traditional location on Locust Lane.

The Harrisburg Area Contra Dance Association, a CDSS affiliate group, invites you to attend our twice-a-month contra dances. We dance mostly contras, but also traditional squares, circles, mixers, hambos, schottisches, waltzes, and more.

The dances are held on the second and fourth (and sometimes fifth) Fridays of each month at the social hall of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church at 5501 Locust Lane, Harrisburg.

What is contra dancing? In a word, FUN! We invite you to check out our Links page to discover and explore contra dance on the web, then come out to a dance and experience it for yourself.

Here's a video of our dance!

The Harrisburg Area Contra Dance Association gratefully acknowledges support from Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts, a regional arts funding partnership of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, which is administered by Jump Street.
